Mike Glanville, our Director of Safeguarding Services and former senior Police Officer will be holding a free webinar ‘Information Sharing: Separating Fact from Fiction’ to support schools, colleges and other organisations through some common information sharing misunderstandings. 

‘Information Sharing: Separating Fact from Fiction’ will equip safeguarding leads, senior leadership and other members of staff with clear advice, knowledge and expertise. It will enable them to know with confidence where they stand with information sharing and child protection. 

This webinar is free to attend and will be taking place at both 12pm and 3:30pm on 16th January 2019.


  

COBIS: Is Your School Compliant With Keeping Children Safe In Education?

Our Director of Safeguarding Services, will give an overview of the changes included in Keeping Children Safe in Education. He will also be giving practical advice which international schools can follow to ensure they are operating within the new guidance. There will be a question and answer session where members can be confident that they are receiving well-informed and accurate answers to their queries from an expert in the fields of child protection and safeguarding. Members will also benefit from a number of free resources designed to guide them through the changes.

Mike Glanville, our Safeguarding Services Director will take the time to provide an update to the new guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education which comes into effect from the 3rd September 2018. We will provide a summary of the key changes, some practical advise and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.


  

The Importance of Early Intervention

This session will explore the impact of trauma on a young person’s wellbeing and the importance of early intervention in relation to safeguarding children and the vulnerable. It will also discuss the merits of a holistic approach and in particular putting the child at the centre and how to effectively build a support network around the individual.



GDPR Webinar - Your school's responsibility

This webinar will help you to understand your responsibilities in relation to the new General Data Protection Regulation, which comes into effect on 25 May 2018. We will explore the key definitions of personal data and sensitive personal data and the legal requirement on schools (as data controllers) to protect the personal data held about pupils and staff. It will also explain the questions that you should ask of your suppliers or data processors, particularly in relation to their security arrangements and GDPR.
